Michelle has so kindly been donating to our auction from the beginning and her sweater designs keep on getting better and better.
Michelle's sweaters are designed and created by using a combination of domestic machine knitting and hand knitting in a smoke-free, pet-free home.
"Over the past three years, I have tried to develop an Etsy store that is unique. I love knitting and I love trying out new designs and patterns. As my experiences in life change, it seems, so does my knitting.
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to take a needlework course at Hampton Court Palace, in England, from the Royal School of Needlework.
Although I have undertaken a large and intricate needlework project, it is mostly to my knitting that I have applied these new skills, by adding a variety of patterns and lettering in my sweater and stocking designs.
I also find that as my sons' interests change, so do the toys I knit. Requests for knitted animals, rockets, robots, and anything they can think up keep me experimenting with new challenges and designs. It's a joy to see their faces light up as projects take shape."
Congratulations Michelle on celebrating your 3rd year as well making your very Canadian sweaters for children!
N.B. The sweater can only be made before October or after January as the months are crazy crazy busy with orders as you can imagine. So be sure to get your order in asap if you are the lucky winner of this homemade sweater!
